Books and Publishing

I have self published a number of books and co-written the ‘Bertie & Winnie‘ series, which I am very proud of. I had fun designing the cover artwork for them all.

The Tales of Bertie & Winnie

It’s time for an adventure…

Bertie Longfellow is an old sea dog, a wirehaired dachshund to be precise, hiding away in an idyllic coastal cottage far from his native England. He is a bit set in his ways and wants nothing more than a little peace and quiet. Having put his past firmly behind him, he spends his days in his dory or by his fireside with only a talkative budgie for company. That is, until a shy young red dachshund named Winnie Wigglesworth comes along and turns that world upside down.

A charming tale told chiefly in stories and letters, The Tales of Bertie & Winnie enchants its readers with memories of long-lost love, far-flung relatives, tantalizing royal connections, a whiff of intrigue – and the extraordinary efforts of one long dog and her friends on both sides of the Atlantic to “rewrite” it all with a suitably happy ending.

The Adventures of Bertie & Winnie

Book Two of the ‘Bertie & Winnie’ Series. There are more tales to be told… Bertie has jetted off to England to meet his long-lost sweetheart, Muriel. His return to London is not quite as he expected, fraught with complications of all sorts, from comic gaffes to the connivings of Muriel’s nefarious butler, Wagmore. Back in idyllic Badger’s Bay, Winnie is growing up and facing challenges of her own. The adolescent dachshund finally meets Douglas, the corgi of her dreams, and the pair contend with a threat from his mother’s past, whilst also finding themselves entangled in a kidnap plot with a cross-Atlantic twist. A heartwarming story in which the present is never far from the past, The Adventures of Bertie & Winnie tells of friendships new and old and hardships overcome, all the while reminding us that though the course of true love never does run smooth, it is an adventure worth having.
