Broadcast Graphic Creation, CD-ROM Production & Design, Online Learning Resources

BDP Media Ltd were a multimedia company that produced many of it’s own digital television
programmes and learning content under the brand ‘Skill Boosters’.

YourBroadband.TV

A series of logos were designed for this venture under the ‘Your’ brand and .tv domain name. ‘Your Comedy Stars .tv’ was just one and featured amateur/woodbe comics that would perform comedy routines at various venues across the country, The Edinburgh Festival to name but one. The logo was used for print and publicity material and across all other media.

Standards Unit

A number of learning resources were created for this government funded initiative. I created graphics, animations and various Flash based activities for pupils at primary and secondary schools across the country.

Granada Media

I designed and built a number of CD-ROM resources containing footage from the vast array of Granada Media programme libraries. Each DVD would contain typically 20 clips, digitized to a quality to use full screen on PC and laptops. The CDs were distributed across various media events.

Tiger Entertainment

BDP Media were also commissioned to create graphics and idents for a variety of small televisual companies, Tiger Entertainment being one. Here the animation consisted of a jaguar’s eyes opening and closing followed by scratches across the screen, reminiscent from the film Jurassic Park.

Good Food Channel

BDP Media produces and edited a vast array of programme material for digital TV platforms. I worked on a number of broadcast TV graphics and animation sequences.

Gareth's contribution to the BDP Media over five years has been invaluable. Not only can he single-handedly manage the various technical demands of a multi-media presentation, but also visualise a written TV script and skilfully translate the graphic elements to the screen. He's creatively inventive in just the way I like. He always thinks within a brief, but isn't afraid to offer ideas I would never have thought of. Knowing that I had Gareth in my team to execute the creative enabled me to pitch more elaborate ideas to clients.
